Graigry - 12 Years Old!

Yes, I'm still catching up from end of 2015, but at least I'm getting it posted - albeit slowly. :)

I love my Graigry! Can't believe my little screamer is 12 years old!! I remember thinking, when he was just days old, that I wasn't going to make it as a mother of three little kids. He cried so much and I became the human pacifier (I was working from home, having to answer phone calls, so having a cauliky child was not easy). Glad he's grow out of that stage. :)

Graigry has been anxiously waiting to turn twelve for the last two years. At Little Flower School, you can be out of uniform on your birthday and you can bring in a home made (or store bought) treat. I made some brownie cupcakes which he decorated as minions.

He had been waiting for Grandma Hibbert's birthday package to arrive at our front door, but one didn't. She sent a smaller priority box and then put money into my account so I could buy things I knew he wanted, which I did. I think he was happy with his birthday goods.

Which box to open first....
...This one!
And the present is...
A suit coat! He had been asking for a suit coat
that fit him. This one was a little to big
(but I'm guessing - not for long).
Bow tie!
Of late, this is preferred above a necktie.
R.E.V cars from Grandparents Scotts:
They are remote control cars that you can
control with an app from your phone.
The rest of us don't have enough available
space to download the app so we can
play one of the cars with Graigry.
Kind of frustrating for him.
He received the $50 cash that Grandma Hibbert sends all the 12 year olds. He was pretty excited to open a card and pull out "50 BUCKS!!" Always fun to have unexpected cash arrive. :) He also received a AirTech bow and arrow. His from last Christmas broke a little while ago and he wanted a new one. Thankfully I was able to find one on sale!

CAKE & ICE CREAM
Graigry had seen a minion cake on the internet somewhere and wanted to do that for his birthday cake. Following our kid cake decorating tradition, I had purchased the twinkies, he had saved smarties, we had black icing on hand and Graigry went to work on his birthday cake. I think it turned out pretty good. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Blowing out the candles,
although he's awfully close to the candles,
so he looks like he's doing...
I don't know what.
It will be wonderful to sit in sacrament meeting and watch as he passes the sacrament for the first time. He is a good boy and wants to do what is right, but he sometimes lets the desire to be approved of by others or his desire to be the head honcho influence him in ways that he aught not. All things that I hope he will grow out of. It's gotta be difficult being the middle child and the oldest male; so many expectations and he's still trying to figure out who he is.
