June 2011 birthday party

So every year for the past several, we have a June birthday party with several other families from the ward that have birthdays in the month of June. For the last two years, we've done it on the evening of the Tour de Cure. It gives everyone a chance to cool off in the water and eat and relax together.

This year we were going to add:
JT June 5
Nathan Brooks June 4

but JT and Patrice dropped off ice cream and left with to tired and cranky little boys and the Brooks were busy with visitors and other things.

Nonetheless, it's always fun to get together, even if yesterday we were all mentally and physically fried.

and the teenagers are so patient with the younger ones.

A candle was placed on the date of each person's birthday.
We sang Happy Birthday
then birthday people blew out the candles together.

Like I said, everyone enjoyed themselves, kids swimming and adult relaxing. I'm grateful for good friends with whom I can share my life. Friends that enrich this mortal experience and who I'm priviledged to count as family.
