Florida for Christmas - We're Swimming!

We arrived on around noon on the 20th. Once we unloaded, kids were ready to jump into the pool. Uncle John had the pool heated to 85 degrees. The temperature outside in sunny Crystal River, was in the 70's (much better than the 30s we left in Indiana). He mentioned that this was one of the warmer winters that Florida has had in a while. So glad to be able to partake of their winter. :)

So, yes, the kids jumped into the pool and swam for about four hours.

I try to get pictures of all of them in the air.
Sometimes it doesn't work so well with the camera's delay.
They all look like they are ready to pounce.

Yea, didn't get that out either.

We found a little friend on the pool deck:

He's TINY!
It was fun to feel him jump inside my hands.
The kids wanted to hold him too, but  he was not too
keen on being in captivity.

We quickly set him free.

He's there; pretty well camouflaged I'd say!

We helped Aunt Diane put up the giant snow-blow-man in the front yard.


If snow doesn't come to you in order to build a snowman,
just blow one up!

As always, food is delicious and abundant. John asked if the kids liked baby back ribs. I said they'd never tried them before. I think I'd only had them once. Guess what we had for dinner?


Uncle John needed some kind of trivet
for the sheet of ribs. Neta was happy to help.



Neta was also very happy to eat the ribs!
They were SOOOO tasty.
Everybody loved them.
