Oct 2018 - Waterman's Pumpkin Patch - Tradition Continues

Since our first year living here, way back in 2002, we have been going to Waterman's Pumpkin Patch on Raymond Street. I took a half day on one of Herron High School's fall break days, a day that looked like would be a relatively nice afternoon, and as soon as Nate and Neta got home from school, we packed in the van and headed out.

Nice thing about going to Waterman's on Raymond is that there are ward members that work there AND there is a family/friends discount, which means, depending on who is sitting at what register, we get in cheaper than most and/or our pumpkins are cheaper than usual. Had I known that Crystal Dobson was managing the pumpkin register, I would not have limited the kids to small pumpkins. For our five pumpkins, we paid less than three dollars, which was perfect for our budget, but the kids felt a little jipped as far as "Why couldn't we get bigger pumpkins again?" Oh well.

It was a little weird not having Xela with us; first time in sixteen years. Thankfully it wasn't too cold and the rain held off so we weren't stomping in mud during the corn maze. Each year there is always something that is unique to that year, as far as memories created, and this year it was the dancing lemurs. They were all huddled in a corner, until Nate came by there cage. When he started dancing and making his own music, the lemurs popped up and started almost bopping with him. The video shows a little, but it was the second or third time he'd "danced" with them.

Of course we took pictures at all the other usual spots as well. The following is the never to be missed (except for the one year we came too early),
